Kwadwo Obeng Jnr

Kwadwo Obeng Jr., a former forward for Hearts of Oak, is about to sign a free-agent contract with Heart of Lions.

After departing the Phobians in January 2024, the 25-year-old striker has not been with a club and missed the second half of the Ghana Premier League 2023–2024 season.

According to sources, Obeng and the Kpando-based side have reached an agreement on a two-year contract, and an official announcement is anticipated shortly.

As Heart of Lions gets ready for the new season, he will work out with his new comrades.

The goal of Obeng's arrival is to provide Heart of Lions with more attacking alternatives as they attempt to escape another relegation battle.

Last season, the team almost avoided relegation, needing a 2-2 draw with Berekum Chelsea on the last day of play to save their place in the top division.

Obeng won two FA Cups and the 2020–21 Premier League title during his prior tenure with Hearts of Oak.

Heart of Lions anticipates that his expertise and goal-scoring prowess will be invaluable assets as they pursue a more secure and prosperous season.
