Midfielder Samuel Tenedu has signed with Asante Kotoko, a formidable team in Ghana, from Legon Cities.

The youthful defensive lineman has signed a multi-year contract with the Porcupine Warriors.

On Wednesday, July 31, 2024, Asante Kotoko posted a statement on their official website announcing the signing of Samuel Tenedu.

According to a release from the team, "Kumasi Asante Kotoko is thrilled to announce the signing of Samuel Tenedu, a quality defensive midfielder from Legon Cities, on a three-year deal."

"The 21-year-old will be joining the club ahead of the forthcoming season after successfully completing his medical in Kumasi earlier this week," the statement continued.

Originating in Obuasi, Samuel Tenedu played his youth football with Ebony FC in Kumasi.

He played in 30 games for Legon Cities in the Ghana Premier League last season, taking home many man-of-the-match honors.

After more than 20 players departed after the 2023–24 season, Asante Kotoko is continuing to add players to cover the void.
