In the forthcoming Ghana Premier League, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak should have a successful season, according to former Ghana international Emmanuel Agyemang Badu.

Despite having a combined 46 league titles, the two titans had a difficult season and didn't place in the top five.

However, Badu is upbeat about their chances after seeing their matchup in the Democracy Cup on July 17, where Kotoko defeated Hearts 2-1.

According to Badu, the Ghana Premier League season has a lot of promise for excitement.
"In the last two years, I can confidently state that this is the first time I have seen a fantastic match between Hearts and Kotoko," he said to JoySports.

"It was quite wonderful that the ball was on the ground, there were good possession changes, and there was composure." They can both improve on this, in my opinion, and have a strong team.

"Both clubs can improve on this, making the competition more exciting this year."

Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko both want to rebuild and contend for the championship by building on their previous successes.

The Ghana Premier League's schedule is still pending and will kick off on September 6.
