During the current transfer window, former Asante Kotoko winger Joseph Amoako has finalized his transfer to FC Samtredia in Georgia.

The 21-year-old forward from Ghana signed a free-agent contract after spending a brief time with TFA Dubai, a second-tier team in the United Arab Emirates.

Amoako completed his required medical on Monday and agreed to a three-year contract with a one-year option to extend.

August 2023 saw the winger split from the Porcupine Warriors and head to the UAE team that same year.

For the team to have a significant impact on the forthcoming campaign, Amoako is anticipated to play a major part.

He had played on loan for the entire season at the Swedish team Helsingborgs IF before departing Kotoko.

Before Helsingborgs IF's relegation during the 2022–2023 season, he made nine appearances for the squad in the Allsvenskan.

At FC Samtredia in Georgia, Amoako will be looking to make an immediate impression.
