Defender Kelvin Osei Asibey of Hearts of Oak has shown great confidence in his team's ability to defeat Asante Kotoko in the forthcoming Democracy Cup.

Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at the Accra Sports Stadium will see the highly awaited match between the two most prestigious teams in the nation. The game will begin at 6:00 p.m.

This game honors the nation of West Africa's thirty years of democratic governance.

In an interview with Kessben FM, which Footballghana.com saw, Asibey stated that his team was prepared to defeat their rival and win the title.

"Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko matches epitomize a friendly." There will undoubtedly be tension because Hearts and Kotoko are playing for the Cup. On Wednesday, both clubs are gearing up to win. Our approach to the game could be more carefree.

When asked if Hearts of Oak would take home the trophy, he said, "Definitely." We're getting ready for the match nicely. Our goal is to win the match.

In the meantime, Asante Kotoko defeated Hearts of Oak twice in a row during the 2023–2024 Ghana Premier League season.

To excite spectators, lawmakers, and former Black Stars players will compete at the same location before the game.
