Hearts of Oak end chase on Dreams FC goalie Solomon Agbasi

Solomon Agbasi

Solomon Agbasi's summer of Dreams FC goalkeeping for Ghana's biggest team, Hearts of Oak, has come to an end.

Throughout the recently finished Ghana Premier League season, the Phobians had difficulties with their goalkeeping.

The Phobians had a dismal season because they let up goals despite switching between more than three goalkeepers.

The Ghanaian powerhouses had a difficult season prior, placing 14th in the Ghana Premier League rankings.

Agbasi was the ideal addition for Hearts of Oak to address the team's goalkeeping issues in time for the upcoming campaign. They did, however, start negotiations with Dreams FC on the shot-stopper's potential acquisition.

However, rumors have it that Agbasi, who excelled for Dreams FC throughout their African campaign, is more interested in moving overseas.

The shot-stopper reportedly suffered an injury as well, which will keep him out of play for a few weeks.

This implies that to find a new shot-stopper in time for the upcoming season, the Ghanaian powerhouses will need to go elsewhere.

In the meantime, the Phobians are discussing a potential transfer with Andrews Owusu of the Accra Lions and goalie Benjamin Asare of the Great Olympics.

Agbasi was essential in helping the Still Believe boys advance to the Confederations Cup semifinals. Because of his achievements, he was voted the Africa campaign's best goalie.
