The negotiations for Hearts of Oak to sign Benjamin Asare from the Great Olympics are progressing

To strengthen their goalkeeping position ahead of the upcoming season, Hearts of Oak is in talks to recruit Great Olympics goalkeeper Benjamin Asare.

Friday saw Asare visiting Hearts of Oak's training site in Pobiman. Asare finished the Ghana Premier League season with the most clean sheets.

According to Mohammed Shaban
, a transfer reporter covering the Ghana Premier League, head coach Abubakar Ouattara is in favor of the move.

Both Dreams FC's Solomon Agbasi and Accra Lions' Andrews Owusu were considered targets, but Shaban claims that any attempt to acquire Agbasi has failed.

Hearts of Oak had three different goalkeepers during the previous season due to serious goalkeeping issues.

Furthermore, negotiations about Asare's colleague Razak Kassim's possible transfer to Hearts are still ongoing. The club wants to recruit him before rivals Asante Kotoko, even if nothing substantial has come out of the talks.

Issah Kuka, on the other hand, has informed the club that he intends to play for another team and is about to depart.
