Hearts of Oak signs Asamoah Boateng Afriyie from Nations FC to a three-year contract

Asamoah Boateng Afriyie

Asamoah Boateng Afriyie from Nations FC has signed a contract with Hearts of Oak, the team announced.

Before the 2024–2025 Ghana football season, the 26-year-old signed a three-year contract with the Phobian Club to play football.

"To Boateng Afriyie, a hearty Phobian greeting to Asamoah! We are very happy that you have joined the Hearts of Oak community. Together, let's write some history," the club declared in a statement.

According to reports, Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara suggested the player's signing to the team following his spectacular displays at Nations FC during the just-finished campaign.

After a dismal season in which they placed 14th in the league standings, the 2000 African champions have made the decision to restructure their roster in an attempt to improve upon their performance in the forthcoming campaign.

Asamoah Boateng Afriyie, who scored 11 goals in 29 league games, had a fantastic season with Nations FC.

He and Michael Mensah Awuah, who are both joining from the same club, have already begun training with the "Phobians."

On Wednesday, July 17 at the Accra Sports Stadium, Hearts of Oak will play Asante Kotoko in the Democracy Cup. Asamoah Boateng is anticipated to play in this match.
