Ibrahim Salifu, a former Hearts of Oak midfielder, has signed a three-year contract with Kosovo's FC Drita.

Having been unable to extend his contract with the Phobians, the former Techiman Eleven Wonders star is relocating to Europe.

After spending his professional career in the Ghana Premier League with Hearts of Oak and Eleven Wonders, Salifu has now made his way to Drita FC in Europe.

"We have added Salifu Ibrahim to our roster. Salifu Ibrahim, a Ghanaian, is the newest player that FC DRITA is proud to introduce, the club said.

"Salifu is a midfield player who hails from the Ghana Premier League, having spent three years playing for Hearts of Oak."

After joining Hearts of Oak in 2021, Ibrahim Salifu had a significant role in the team's 2020–2021 Ghana Premier League title victory, winning both the league MVP award and the club award. With the Phobians, he took home five trophies in total.

The midfielder, who has demonstrated flashes of elite play for the Rainbow Boys, is regarded as one of the best in the area.

The 24-year-old made 32 appearances in the just-finished Ghana Premier League, tallying two goals and ten assists.
