Coach of Vision FC Nana Agyemang believes Asante Kotoko could damage several teams next season.

Asante Kotoko

Nana Kwaku Agyemang, the coach of Vision FC, has expressed his admiration for the Asante Kotoko club in front of the 2024–2025 Ghana Premier League season.

In a preseason friendly on Sunday, the Porcupine Warriors upset the newcomers to the Premier League.

With a brace from striker Albert Amoah, the Ghanaian powerhouses easily defeated their opponent, 2-1.

"Asante Kotoko has excellent organizational discipline. Instead of pressing high, they wait for and take advantage of openings in the other squad. They took advantage of us in the first half, but I caught on and closed that gap in the second.

"Kotoko managed to burst through barriers. Overall, he remarked following the game, "I think they can affect a lot of teams if they are a bit potent in attack next season."

After an underwhelming season the previous year, the Porcupine Warriors cut over 20 players and added 12 new ones.

Despite obstacles, Asante Kotoko placed sixth in the Ghana Premier League the previous season.

On September 6, 2024, the Ghana Premier League will reopen, with the Porcupine Warriors hosting Karela United in the opening match.
