Following Karela United's victory, Kotoko coach Prosper Ogum praises goalkeeper Mohammed Camara.

Goalkeeper Mohammed Camara received high marks from Asante Kotoko coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum for his outstanding play in the team's 1-0 Ghana Premier League victory over Karela United on Sunday.

First-choice goalkeeper Frederick Asare was not available, so Camara made several key saves to help the Porcupine Warriors earn their first three points of the year.

In a post-game interview, Coach Ogum reaffirmed his belief in Camara's skills, saying he never questioned the goalkeeper's ability to step in for Asare.

"I stated that because we have Camara, there won't be a problem without Asare. The three goalkeepers will continue to work together if Asare arrives; we all know he is a goalkeeper for the national team. On match day, we simply place the goalie we believe will fit the situation best," Coach Ogum stated.

Camara's coach also pushed him to be focused, work hard, and have confidence throughout the season.

"As a team, I believe it benefits us to have strong goalkeepers because, as you saw, he frequently performed that role during the game, rescuing the team when the last line of defense was breached. Throughout the season, I want to encourage him to maintain his self-assurance, work hard, and remain focused," he continued.

Coach Ogum will have to choose between Frederick Asare and Mohammed Camara to start in goal for Asante Kotoko against Nsoatreman FC after the international break.
