Before the new season begins, Hearts of Oak has stated that it is splitting ways with three of its goalkeepers: Eric Ofori Antwi, Richmond Ayi, and Richard Attah.

At a press conference on Thursday, head coach Abubakar Ouattara revealed the information, putting a stop to rumors that had been swirling since the "Phobians" did not deploy any of the three players in their most recent Democracy Cup matchup against Kotoko.

"We no longer have those players (Richard Attah, Richmond Ayi, and Eric Ofori Antwi)," Ouattara declared.

Ayi and Attah have played a crucial role in Hearts of Oak's recent triumph. Attah, who came from Elmina Sharks in 2020, and Ayi, who came from WAFA in 2019, both contributed significantly to the team's 2020–21 domestic triple victory.

As the starting goalie of choice, Attah was instrumental in that winning campaign. Eric Ofori Antwi, who signed last summer, was unable to have a major effect because of injuries throughout his season.

According to reports, they have come to an arrangement with Benjamin Asare of Great Olympics and are in negotiations to bring in Simba SC outcast Abdulai Iddrisu
