To improve their goalkeeping situation in front of the upcoming Ghana Premier League season, Accra Hearts of Oak has formally announced the signing of goalkeeper Benjamin Asare from Accra Great Olympics.

The Phobians, the club, posted the news along with a greeting on their official social media accounts.

"🔴🏡🔵 || Benjamin Asare, Officially Welcome Home Number One. Masters of Phoophobia!!!!!"

Hearts of Oak is hoping that Benjamin Asare, who had the most clean sheets at the end of the previous campaign, would provide consistency to the goalkeeping unit. The team rotated through three different goalkeepers throughout the previous season, which presented serious issues. Hearts of Oak has so broken up with Eric Ofori Antwi, Richmond Ayi, and Richard Attah.

Aboubakar Ouattara, the head coach, verified the information on Thursday at a press conference. The Accra-based team is working hard to be ready for the new season to outperform the previous one.
