Old men should not govern Hearts of Oak; you need the young to accomplish the job - Harry Zakkour

Harry Zakkour, a former Hearts of Oak CEO, suggested appointing young individuals to lead the club.

He felt that older males shouldn't be in charge of Ghana's leading club.

"You see what's going on right now... you see, we had a good board of directors when I was president. Harry Zakkour stated to Joy Sports in an upcoming Prime Take interview that "you need young to lead Hearts of Oak, not old men when I look at the recent incidents."

The former CEO of Hearts of Oak stated in the interview that the team needs highly engaged individuals who can build relationships with the players by frequently visiting training facilities and providing the necessary attention.

According to Harry Zakkour, this is how players will be motivated to strive for the team's success.

"Will they be able to arrive and take over Accra Hearts of Oak in time? Would they have time? Will the current board members be heading to the camp or the training grounds to take care of the boys? Attention is needed for the lads.

"Football players are similar to women in that they need attention to produce outcomes." Harry Zakkour asked a query.

Hearts of Oak's 2-1 loss to Asante Kotoko in the Democracy Cup has raised concerns about the team's prospects for the 2024–2025 football season.
