Asante Kotoko gaining ground on Godfred Abban, an attacking midfielder for Medeama

Godfred Abban

Godfred Abban, a midfielder for Medeama SC, is a player that Asante Kotoko SC is interested in signing for the next football season.

Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, the coach of Kotoko, is eager to add Abban to his team after seeing him play well in the Ghana Premier League the previous season.

In the Ghana Premier League, he participated in 19 games and scored twice. Additionally, he made two appearances in the CAF Champions League, opposing CR Belouizdad and Remo Stars.

Kotoko views Abban's inventiveness and goal-scoring prowess as essential qualities to bolster their team.

During the 2022–23 season, Abban who was on loan from Medeama to Tamale City had a successful season, recording one goal and five assists in 25 games.

It's uncertain whether Medeama will sell the gifted midfield player with eight months left on his deal.

After moving from Asokwa Deportivo, a lower division team, to Medeama in 2020, Abban has developed into a vital member of the team.

Things have become fascinating because of Kotoko's offer, and Medeama must now decide whether to sell Abban or keep him.
