As the new Ghana Premier League season draws near, Justice Blay, a versatile midfielder for Asante Kotoko, has stated that he is willing to extend his contract with the team.

Blay, who has spent the season transitioning into a defensive role, declared that he is ready to sign a new contract should the team make an offer.

The Porcupine Warriors experimented with different players in different places last season, which presented many complications.

Blay was mainly used as a defender despite being first recognized for his skill in the midfield. Blay's dedication to the squad is unwavering despite the team's setbacks.

At the club's open day for the media, he told them, "I am delighted at Kotoko therefore I will definitely renew my contract when the officials want me to stay."

On Friday, August 16, 2024, Asante Kotoko will play a friendly against Medeama SC to officially open the new T and A Stadium, elevating their pre-season preparations to a new level.

The squad will next head to Washington, DC, for an international friendly matchup with DC United. September 1st is when the new league season will start, with Kotoko playing their first game against Karela United.
