Medeama friendly excellent chance to evaluate new signings Prosper Ogum, coach of Kotoko

Prosper Narteh Ogum, the head coach of Asante Kotoko, has characterized their friendly match against Medeama as a chance to assess their new additions before the commencement of the upcoming campaign.

In an exhibition match against the Yellow and Mauves on Friday, August 16, 2024, the Porcupine Warriors will raise the bar for their pre-season preparations as they open the new T and A Stadium.

The squad will next head to Washington, DC, for an international friendly matchup with DC United.

September 1st is when the new league season will start, with Kotoko playing their first game against Karela United.

Ogum stated, "It is a tremendous opportunity since we have now assembled a different team with practically all our main targets now in," to the club's media team before the game.

"I believe it will benefit us as we will have roughly two weeks to train and will be able to showcase our work at Medeama.

As a technical staff and management, this will provide us a clear understanding of each player individually and our responsibilities. Recall that we will only have three weeks left after the game before the league starts.

We will have enough time in three weeks to rectify mistakes made by individuals, groups, and teams.

"I believe it will bring out the best in the players, staff, and technical team, especially considering the historical rivalry between Kotoko and Medeama in Tarkwa and the fact that we are playing against them in a new stadium."
