For three months, Nti had regular one-on-one meetings with Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in his capacity as interim CEO, until a board was assembled.
2014 saw Nti succeed Dr. KK Sarpong, leading Asante Kotoko to the FA Cup and the Ghana Premier League championship. He underlined that attaining these successes required steady leadership and a unified technical team.
He said, "So things worked smoothly right from the start since we had stable management and there were no issues with the technical side."
Opoku Nti's leadership and choice to keep the technical staff together were key factors in Asante Kotoko's winning campaign.
