Sherif Mohammed left Asante Kotoko to sign with the Ethiopian team Mekele 70 Enderta FC, according to GHANAsoccernet.com.

With the option to extend after the 2024–2025 season, the 22-year-old center-back signs a one-year contract with the Ethiopian Premier League team.

Mohammed left Kotoko at the end of the previous season, having played 11 games in the Ghana Premier League, and joins Mekele on a free transfer.

After a botched trial in France, he left EurAfrica FC to join the Porcupine Warriors in August 2022.

Mohammed appeared in 20 Ghana Premiership games during his tenure with Kotoko. He also made appearances in two CAF Champions League preliminary stage games, which led to a call-up for the Ghana national team.

Mohammed participated in Ghana's 2-0 quarterfinal loss to Niger as a member of the Ghanaian team in the 2022 CHAN tournament in Algeria.

In this transfer window, he is the second Kotoko player to head to Ethiopia after goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad joined Ethiopia Coffee FC.
