Kofi Agbesimah

Samartex 1996, the winners of the Ghana Premier League, have signed highly-regarded defender Kofi Agbesimah during the current transfer window.

The 27-year-old leaves Hearts of Oak, a team in the Ghana Premier League, to join the massive Timber team.

The Premier League champions signed Agbesimah to a two-year deal that would keep him with the team until 2026.

The highly regarded defender announced his intention to depart from Hearts of Oak after a difficult season in which the team placed 14th in the Ghanaian Premier League.

The Phobians have approved his request, thus he has signed on the dotted line to become a Samartex employee in front of the 2024–2025 season.

We are happy to announce that Accra Hearts of Oak's seasoned center back Kofi Agbesimah has joined us permanently on a two-year contract. In the end, his addition will give the defense unparalleled expertise and a fresh perspective, according to Samartex.

Despite a challenging season, Hearts of Oak's most reliable player was Agbesimah, who made 30 league appearances. Even though he was performing well, he told the club that he was looking for a new challenge.

Samartex will participate in the next CAF Champions League season, and given his wealth of experience, Agbesimah should be a key member of the team.

Agbesimah will want to make his debut in the first preliminary round of the 2024–25 CAF Champions League against the Cameroonian team TP Elect Sport FC.
